Digital Library

The digital library of the Boyana Church has been created to facilitate sharing of visual data concerning the Boyana Church with specialized digital heritage platforms such as Europeana. It contains images created by Anton Chalakov and Miglena Raykovska under the project of the Balkan Heritage Foundation in partnership with the National History Museum “The New Face of the Boyana Church”, implemented with the financial support of the National Culture Fund in 2021 – 2022. The images are published here along with the required metadata by the National History Museum and the Balkan Heritage Foundation under a Creative Commons license – CC BY-NC-ND ( Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives).

This allows users to share, i.e. copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format. If they comply with the terms of the license, the licensor cannot revoke these freedoms. The license is subject to the following conditions:

  • Attribution – users are required to attribute the authors and owners of the images as follows © National History Museum & Balkan Heritage Foundation, Photographs by Anton Chalakov & Miglena Raykovska, provide an electronic link to the license, and indicate whether they have made changes.
  • Non-commercial – users are not allowed to use the images for commercial purposes.
  • No derivatives – if they process or transform the images, users are not allowed to distribute the modified material.
